Story behind OUR VENUE
Jardin de Miramar
Antipolo City
-Jernellen Peñaverde
We first saw Jardin de Miramar on a Bridal Fair we had attended at SM Megamall organized by The Wedding Library last February, 2014. My husband Fil and I went on a Bridal Fair for the first time. At that time we’re not yet engage, but somehow we already dreaming of saying I do’s when the perfect time comes. Since we do not have ideas yet, we just gather pamphlets, pricelist, free magazines, etc., in short we got everything every supplier was giving us. After enjoying several free pictorials from photo booth suppliers (we enjoy it a lotJ), we came to the section of venues. Then, we came to the booth of Jardin de Miramar. We saw the pictures and we just loved the place. They offer variety of venues to choose from. We like it also because it is located in Antipolo City where family of Fil resides. But, we did not book it yet.
On April 19, 2014, Fil proposed to me in the middle of our Island hopping at Caramoan, Camarines Sur together with our friends. After the proposal, we started making out plans for our wedding. At first, we were thinking of having a Civil Wedding instead of a Garden Wedding because we thought that a Wedding needs a lot of money to spend. But then, we realized that Marriage is a blessing from God and Fil wanted me to marry at the altar to be witnessed by my parents and loved ones. And so, we had planned for a simple Garden Wedding worth P160 thousand pesos :)
Because of the budget, we have set aside Jardin for a while because we THOUGHT we cannot afford them. We have scouted a lot of Wedding Venues and they usually offer wedding packages which includes catering services by their accredited suppliers, which unfortunately a 160 thousand peso budget cannot afford. So we decided to first look for a Caterer who offers quality food and service at an affordable price. We got Evelyn’s Catering as our target Caterer. Then after that, I have searched for Wedding Venues that do not have “corkage fees” so that I could book Evelyn’s Catering. All of the venues I’ve scouted have corkage fees, except for Jardin de Miramar. I saw it on their website, until we finally confirmed it when we first visited the place. It was November 2014. The place was very warm, relaxed, green, and very beautiful the way we expect it. I felt like “This is it”. We booked Jardin de Miramar particularly Ylang-Ylang venue on December 11, 2014 assisted by Ms. Eve Villavicencio who is the Site Manager. We were surprised when Ms. Eve said that there is a 20% discount as Christmas Promo. Really, in God’s perfect time, whew! We were very happy then. Ms. Eve, Ms. Princess and Ms. Juvy were very accommodating and were able to grant our simple requests just the way we wanted our wedding to be. They are very considerate and shown us very good rapport. Even their on-duty guards and caretakers were very helpful in extending their service. We have also met the owner of the place, very kind and beautiful Mrs. Edna del Rosario after the wedding. We are very satisfied and didn’t regret choosing Jardin as our wedding venue. Our guests really enjoyed the nature ambiance of the place. The place had provided us our dream wedding, simple yet naturally beautiful as we would like it to be. The money we spent for Jardin was of great worth. We realized that we don’t need to have huge money to make our dream wedding come true. We really recommend Jardin de Miramar, for they have given us quality service.
